My name is Nicole Green and this is my 7th year at Sylvester Elementary as the resource room teacher. I received my bachelors degree from Western Michigan in the areas of Learning Disabilities and Cognitive Impairments. After I graduated I had married my husband, Mack. We now have three children, a Great Pyrenees who is deaf, and a Newfoundland Saint Bernard Mix.
As a resource room teacher, I do not just see students in my room, but I also co-teach. This is where I assist students while they are in their general education classes with their peers. Co-teaching involves having a group of students where a General Education Teacher and a Special Education teacher share responsibility for the classroom instruction.
